Title on cover is "Florida 2" in raised letters with gold printing. Diary begins on Weds. January 19. Diary contains a number of photographs. The diary is not dated by year. The only notation of the year is on the newspaper clippings that describe the Indians imprisoned at the Fort Marion whoc were transported there from the West. They included Apache, Cheyennes, Kiowas, and Commanche. These articles date from 1877-1879. There are also clippings about the Indians attending Hampton Insitute in Virginia from 1878-1880.
The diary is very descriptive of scenery, weather and church services in St. Augustine. Author came to Florida for her health from Philadelphia.
