Confederate Army Transport form dated January 5, 1864.
This form, Written Order #2818, is addressed to the superintendent of Stebbiens Express Railroad company by quartermaster Major Horatio S. Routh for transport for a Captain Tucker with 24 federal prisoners and 18 guards to Quitman, Georgia from Madison, Florida. The form was written at Lake City, Florida.
This receipt, #34606, was for 124 seats for Confederate Colonel Alfred H. Colquitt's brigade for a train departing from Quitman, Georgia to Madison, Florida. This receipt is evidence for Colquitt's involvement in the Battle of Olustee on February 20, 1864.
