Bound colection of photographs taken during an 1898 fishing and huntning expedition to the southwest coast of Florida. Captain of the vessel was Captain Francis "Frank" Solomons Strohbar. He was born December 5, 1853, in Effringham County, Georgia and died September 5, 1916 in Tampa, Hillsborough County Florida. His place of burial is Indian Spring Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, Florida. Captain Strobhar was the son of Henry Jacob Strobhar (1823 - 1872,) and Henrietta Elizabeth Beville, (1825 - 1900.) Photo of the schooner Rambler's port side |
